Default XML setup file is not for a "module".

Hello I would love some aid in this poject.

I have completed altering my servers settings for safe mode to off for the virtual site. I have also installend zlib. However when I attempt an install for a module, I get this error returned to me.

Upload module - Failed
XML setup file is not for a "module".

Any help would be much appreciated!
Best regards,
TAdams

A name for the module would be really helpful

Some modules and components have a number of zips inside them so I suggest you make this your first port of call.

My appologies, I seem to have corected the issues at hand. I have completed uploading a few modules, add ons to my site. Having come from PHP-Nuke this is in some ways similar, and in many ways different.

Currently I have the following installed:

DOCMan -docman123 Works great, update feature is a very nice addition!

Galleria - com_galleria_v1.0_stab(unable to view upload portion, or step three.) as a registered user. Corrected, you need Sun Java installed on the client (home) PC to view the window!

Simpleboard Forum - com_simpleboard-1.0.4-beta1.zip Works!

SimpleChat com_simplechat.zip
(error on login:

)

WikiDoc

AkoComment (buggy ie will not work)

Site info:

Database Version: 3.23.58
PHP Version: 4.3.8
Web Server: Apache/2.0.50 (Fedora)
WebServer to PHP interface: apache2handler
Mambo Version: Version: Mambo 4.5.1a Stable [Three For Rum] 05/10/2004 16:12 GMT

I would appreciate any help you could provide. I will keep working on them and perhaps fix some things, for know it is a trial and error thing
Best regards,
Thomas
