Default Interaction between main menu and top menu??

I have a question.
Is it possible to do the following and how do I make it work.

I have a top menu (vertically tiled) at the top of my page. For example information. When you have information in the main menu on the left, you can add contentsections to it. When you click information the menu "folds" down. Is it also possible to have that for a menu at the top? And I would also like to know if it is possible to have the menu being fold down somewhere else. For example I have menu items on the top of my page. And when I click one of the items, the content of that item is listed at the left of my page?

Could someone please help me???
