Default How do I publish content categories on the front page?

Hi,

I would like to publish categories with their icons on the frontpage.

Something like:

Logo A, Category A, 2 Elements
Logo B, Category B, 3 Elements
Logo C, Category C, 2 Elements

Do you know a way to do this?

In addition: How can I show the entry texts, once a selection has been made?

Example:

Logo A, Category A:
Element 1:
This is the text for element 1.

Element 2:
This is the text for element 2.

Thank you very much for your help,
best greetings,
rawex

I have made a workaround:
I wrote a module what displays the last N items from a section with intro text.

Then I put the module in my template below the frontpage "native" items.

Hi, would you mind publishing your module? Or perhaps to send it to me? That sounds very good.

Thank you,
rawex

So this module allows for content items to be placed on the front page? I would be very interested in that... I figured it out I thought, but cannot remember how i did it.
