Default Template problems

Hello,

i've been setting up my new 4.5.1 site but i have a few template problems:

- How can I let more than 5 items showed in the top-menu? I now have 6 items, but only 5 are displayed. How can i fix this?

- The template works fine in Firefox, but in explorer the site is different. Above the header is some unwanted spacing, the content isn't spread over the content table and the "Sponser" item under isn't alligned right. How can I fix this?

The sites adress is: http://www.x-tras.nl/data/test/
The (modivided) template can be found here: http://www.x-tras.nl/data/test/template.zip

Thanks in advance.

Find the following in the index.php of your template:
Quote:
and !$_REQUEST['task'] == 'edit'
Originally in line 24 and 106. So 2 occurrences!
They control the content width and the display of the right column.

Delete that.

This may help you further...

Regards

PS. The width of yor flash is to large. It MUST be 646. That corrupts the content width.

Thx mate, you solve the problem of missing the right box in some pages.

The flash size is 715 but the content size isn't spread over the whole width so it looks like the flash size must be smaller. The actual problem is that the content section don't use all of his available width (in Internet Explorer, firefox works fine). How you, or someone know, how i can fix this? Also I have the 2 remaining questions:

- The template works fine in Firefox, but in explorer the site is different. Above the header is some unwanted spacing, the "Sponser" item under isn't alligned right. How can I fix this?

Most of what you ask is defined by CSS and is a bit more complicated.
I advise to use Firefox for modifing CSS. If you have it installed with the developer kit (must be specified at setup).
You are now able to view and modify the CSS in the left side pane and your homepage on the right.
Now you can change CSS sizes and see the effect immediately on the right.
Hope this helps in going on.

Unfortunately IE is troublesome with CSS. Especially with boxes.

Veel sukses!

I've done this but the problem is that in firefox everything is right so that doesn't fix it.

Can anyone please help me?

Try to put borders for the div and tabels in question and identify the one that create problems ( in CSS border: 1px solid #FF0000 for alll the silver div and also for the moduletable class).
You can spec diff width for firefox and IE:

width: 2px !important; ->FireFox
width: 4px; ->IE
