Default Lost path with a submenu

Hello,

I want to set up the following menu structure (which works fine):
Level A
Level B
Level C

Level D
Item1
Item 2

When I am on the Level C I want to have an additional menu appear. (Also works well.)

However the path is lost: How can I keep the path from the mainmenu appear at top? I want to have something like: Level A - Level B - Level C - Level D - Item 1

and get:

Level D - Item 1

Do you have any ideas? Thank you for your help,
best greetings,
Kelley
