hi i added the htaccess file with the security features that i got from mamboportal.
however this redirects all html requests to index.php
as the site is in testing i want the html to show up as the index page and not the php file.

therefore i renamed the index.php to something else (as the sites not ready yet)

now what im getting is a 404 error - even when i delete the htaccess file

when i visit the root of the iste i should see the index.html file should i not??

Hi, if I understand you correctly you want to hide index.php while you are working on your website, so that know one can see it until it is ready...ok, easiest way to do it is to create an index.html webpage and upload it to your root (where your mambo files are) folder. I've got a redirection one, redirect any one that types in www.yoursite.com to disney or wherever you choose. Send me an email if you want it.

Oh and change your renamed index.php back to what it was.
