Just wondering:

Cheers

The Java Bean template doesn't include a "banner" area. You need to edit the index.php file of the template to include this element...

This is the code to call the banner " <?php mosLoadComponent( "banners" ); ?>"
Insert it in the appropiate place.

Thanks this re-solved why banners were not appearing on my client's site quickly.

I am also using a template that apparently doesn't allow for banner placement. How do I know where the 'appropriate place' is to insert this code in the index.php file? (Obvious n00b here)

Thanks!

An 'appropriate place' depends upon the page layout you've got.

Loading the template into a tool like DreamWeaver will usually show you where the existing MOS php tags are and where its appropriate to add others, like your banners tag...

Question Re: How do I get 'banners' component to work?

I managed to get the banner code loaded but it's displaying one of the default Mambo banners, NOT the one I created for the site. I'm using the ArtBanners component and have unpublished the default Banner component--or so I thought? What am I forgetting to do in order to get this to work properly? Do I need to alter the code or is there another step? Both?

I appreciate the continued feedback.
