Messenger Client Component

Hi All,

First off thanks for all the experts around here that have helped out everyone, ive solved so many problems and answered so many questions by using this forum and until now ive never had to even post.

Anyway im looking for a component that works as a client manager.
Somewhere a client cal nog in and view their current account balance, past transactions, invoices etc etc etc.

Also possibly a job request system where thay can request jobs to be done and view current job status (i.e. % complete) etc etc etc ...

im not sure if there is anything like this out there at the moment and if there is im buggered if i can find it.

If not is there anyone out there interested in coding something like this ? if so id love to talk $$$ etc etc etc. For me personally it would be used for current web clients to submit updates and maintainence requests for their website but it could be used for any business.

Any help given will be greatley appreciated.

p.s. thoughts on my first live mambo site also welcome ... www.apartmentsonline.co.nz (there is a few display issues to tidy but it works well) and anyone concidering purchasing the hot property component i recommend they do so, it works brilliantly. (just not in 4.6)

Hi,

should this be connected to an existing application/database?

I have written something like that for a customer: selecting data from the existing application (may be any database: SQL-Server, Access, DBF, ...), upload into mambo, using the data in forms (using standard AKOForms) ...

with for example these data: delivery status, manufacturing status, error submition ...

If that's what you meant? If so, you may contact me by mail and give more information on what you need.

BTW: nice website - wow what an arrow Does "hotproperty" fulfill your needs?

Greetings, ZorkHH

no, im quite happy to just use mambo to monitor all my activities. Basically im a small self employed web / graphic developer here in NZ and id like my clients to be able to log in and submit updates, view account details and balances and view job status, notes etc from a portal. as im beginning to play with mambo i thought it would be great to do this within mambo and if any of my clients then needed something along the same lines id have the answer there ready to roll. Ultimately id like to move to a system such as this in time and stop my paper invoices all together, although id have to convince some of my backward clients this is a good idea lol.

Just playing with a second mambo site along the same sort of lines ... www.h47.gen.nz/web. these templates are all pretty basic i know and id like to really give this templating thing in mambo a good crack at some stage to see what i can come up with.

Perhaps i could strip the branding out of them for those that are interested in a copy and post them online.

(p.s. i know the content is lacking but hey its a work in progress)

I am also looking for exactly the same thing. I also run a small web design company in the UK, and would be very interested in something like this. Is there any news on this ?

also mikegiles: the template used on www.h47.gen.nz/web. would you be interested in sharing it?

If you want to see, my web addy is: www.adambrowndesigns.co.uk

@mikegiles:

Awesome work! The H47 site is one of my favorites!

Thank you for the recommending us, mikegiles We are working very closely with the latest Mambo 4.5.1 RC1 right now. Have been doing alot of bugs hunting with Mambo and in the mean time testing out and getting a patch out for Hot Property to support 4.5.1 when the stable is out.

Cheers,
CY

Thanks very much again for the feedback guys.

In regards to the h47 template, it is a very basic layout and yeah of course ill share it. despite being graphic heavy i think the entire template is still around the 70 - 80k mark so it should keep those users on dial up happy, (which there are still a few of here in new zealand)

I have a weekend full of work planned this weekend so ill do my best to get the template up on mambo portal and keep you posted.

P.S. Would it be an advantage to anyone if i also made the photoshop files of my templates available ?

Ive mentioned this on another thread in the template area

Not speaking about your template, but just templates in general, I would appreciate it if any template maker would publish the photoshop files. While users may want to get a leg up and get a site up quickly, it definitely helps towards customization once they realize the down sides of a canned template.

I also understand if a designer did not want to publish the files as they have the right to decide how the work is used.
