Default Mambo 4.5.1 Beta 4 has left the building!

We are very, very proud to announce the most comprehensive and complete release of Mambo ever (even though it is a Beta!). This release sees many improvements, fixes and enhancements over all previous releases.

The 4.5.1 release was mainly going to be a release to reflect the recent re-branding from 'Mambo Open Source' to Mambo. But as always we listened to your requests, fixed your bugs and added our own ideas. We have sneaked in a few ideas from the work done in 4.6/5.0 and brought them to you in this release.

All documentation is available from : http://mamboforge.net/docman/?group_id=5

Download:

Am I the only one expiriencing SQL problems with mambo.sql??

Because I'm getting bugs here and there in mambo.sql when I try installing it.

Arnes -

When I tried installing it 'manually' I got problems, but when I 'wiped out' my whole test site and fully re-installed using the automated process (which I should be doing anyway, so that I don't get myself in trouble), everything worked perfectly ...

Obviously, I'm not at most of the poster technical level, so please take this as an observation, not gospel ...

By the way - really like the new release (makes me even more eager for 4.6/5), but I am having one stupid problem (I say 'stupid' because I'm sure I'm just missing something REALLY obvious - it's a talent of mine)...

I can't get 'Welcome to the Frontpage' to turn off and I don't know where to do this .....

Thanks for any help...

Hehe...."Mambo 4.5.1 Beta 4 has left the building!"...and didn't even make it to the parking lot before hearing the #1 Mambo FAQ of all time: "How do I remove 'welcome to the front page?'"

It didn't even make it out of the announcement thread! This has got to be some kind of record!
