Default best storage for pdfs

I'm just starting with Mambo 4.5.2 and want to allow users to upload files such as pdf's etc (don't worry, all users with logins are internal and it will be part of their job).

I also need them to be able to upload images and link to any images and files from their pages when they update / author pages.

1) What is the best suggestion for uploading / managing files etc (file repository / docman ? what are they? whats a repository/remository?)

2) what is the best WYSIGYG for the above (to enable linking to the files and uploading images etc)

Many thanks
Neil

Docman offers a boatload of features. I like both docman and repository so you might want to check both out (check out their websites.. features.. development activity, etc). The offer slightly different features but I have used both and both appear stable enough for any average site. Not sure about repository but docman has an editor (works with html xtd) that allows for linking to specific downloads in the content items. If I had to recommend one.. it would be docman. The editor in the component itself is no better/worse than the one in repository...
