Big prob: if a check an item to be shown at frontpage my webpage doesn't load

I explain this, I created (weeks ago) a website using mambo 4.5.2.1, many components, like events, akobook, akocomment... tipical and well known ones, the last one i've installed is mambo-smf and the website have been working perfectly.

I have many (15-20) news and other items published in the page and shown at frontpage, but this morning i created a new one, and i forgot to publish it, so from the frontend i edited the item and marked it as publish and shown at frontpage. Before this the website didn't load again.

I thought it was a server problem, but hours ago the situation was the same, i tried to enter the administrator, i entered and unpublished the last item i created. Now the website works fine again.

I've been trying things to solve the problem like uninstalling components, modules, restoring the index.php backup of the mambo-smf installation... and nothing of this works.

I find out, that new items can be published but if i set them to be shown at frontpage the website won't load.

It's frustrating.

Found it!! This must be a BUG, but why nobody knows this?

In the parameters of the Home link in mainmenu I have this:

As you can see the max items in frontpage are 20, so when a set the 21st item to be shown at frontpage my website hangs up.

probably because your one of the few who has added 21 items to the frontpage. :-)

have you filed a bug report?

That's not the problem (just tested on my site).

It may be related to using SEF URLs and not having inserted a "Title Alias:"; as far as I remember, I had this problem with SEF Advance then not showing anything!
