Default the admin template...on a live site

Would it be ok to use the default admin template as the basis of a new site template? Would this be ethical? Would anyone have any objections? is it possible to manipulate it so it would work as a main template (I cant see why not but...) Any feedback much appreciated.

The more time I spend using the default admin template, the more and more I am blown away by it.

Just wanted to add - am loving mambo! Regardless of the response to the above question, it'll be mambo for me from now on.
