This should be in a 451 wishlist, but alas there isn't one! And definitely be a core component to acr on all content.

With Mambo sites open for content access via login, I am concerned about Bad Words becoming excessive.

I sure wish there were a BadWords Component to monitor all incoming for profanity, replacing with ****'s or completly rejecting the input if the number of bad words exceeded a preset threshold.

Or does this exist for 4.5.1a and I have not found it?

there is a badword component. and i believe it is on mamboforge.net so as soon as it becomes steadily online just search for badword component

I took a look at that. It is a component that provides a hook to check content for bad words, but it is for component developers to use by hooking into their component by code addition.

I am not sure that I want to get that heavily into each component/module that handles text input - that would be over my head, and would cause most components on my site to deviate from the released version.

The availability of this hook, and it's implementation in all core and 3p components is lacking, unfortunately. I like Mambo, but that is a serious issue in my opinion.
