Before I download, install and sort through the details, can anyone recommend what they feel is the best newsletter component and why?

Do you mean for creating a newsletter or managing the mailing lists? So far, on the creating a newsletter side the only thing I have found is teasergrabber and if you want something very simple that just links back to your news, it works.

I have used a simple newsletter component called newsletter.

What I do like about it is the fact that it allows easy subscribe and unsubscribe..
