Poll results not trustworthy?

Hi
I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but bare with the newbie,,

Having set up a site with Mambo, I am very happy with it.
except for the Poll module/component (?)

In most Polls (other than mambo..) you are only able to vote once. but for some reason, i am able to vote an unlimitid amount af times with the standard poll component in 4.5.1.

If I cast a vote, I am shown the current result (which is another thing I would like to be able to hide until the poll i finished..) when returning to the frontpage of the site, I am able to vote on the same poll again!

That should not be possible!

I can ofcourse set a timer on it, so that there would be a restriction on the voting. But that seems like a haphasard way of solving the problem.
The best solution would be to just "remember the IP of the voter. or maybe set some kind of cookie..

Hope to get some help.. or maybe just ideas to get closer to a solution.

Some one did answer that on this forum,
Looks like you have to edit the file
/components/com_poll/poll.php

ou have to remove the // on the start of lines 71-75
It's commented, so it's not used by your site. Looks like an error.

hope it helps, it works for me, but not for everyone it seemps
