Default htmlarea 3 XTD - C or fck editor and mambo

I'm trying to use htmlarea 3 XTD - C or fck editor mosbots with mambo on a lunarpages.com server but I'm having problems with the image and link parts
the editors both seem to work fine but when I try to browse the server to add an image or link with htmlarea 3 XTD - C all I get is a popup window that displays my home page when I do the same with fck editor I get an internal server 500 error has anybody been able to get one of these editors to work properlyon a lunarpages.com server? and most importantly how?
thanks for your help
Gianmarco

Yeah, it could be permissions, as you mentioned. I've seen this before and had success by changing the related files to 644 and the related directories to 755.

Oh boy.

Well, I would start out with the editor directories and files within the /mambots folder. In fact, I would see if all your directories and files have the correct permission settings.

The problem I've come across is that, sometimes, there are directories and files outside of the "problematic" directory that's causing the issue. The best thing to do is follow any JavaScript and/or PHP errors you might be getting and check the permissions on the respective files. For example, if /tmp needs to be writable because Mambo is trying to temporarily place an image or whatever there, that could be a start.

HtH!
