Looking for component to send specific information via email

With my site, www.boisevenue.com, I send specific data to many people who do not do RSS. Right now I and the people who work the business the site supports go to the site and copy/paste info from the calendar and news, etc. to email to people.

I would like a component/module where I could setup a specific schedule to email data once a week on a determined day to a specific email address or addresses.

Anyone out there think this is a good idea?

Sounds like a good idea to me: kind of a news subscription service. You could use Yanc to create the subscription list, then create a script that would extract all newly added content over the last 'X' days and mail to members of 'X' mail list. Set up a cron job to run the script every 'X' days and voila. Of course...I have no idea how to create the script.

thanks for the comment - I think it would be a great $20(us) component if you could setup via the backend admin interface. The people I send to are email only kinda people. And the next few sites I create I would like to include this ability. I know people should be digital enough to go to the website and get what they need, but biz people are lazy. They just want the info they need sent to them ready to load into their world (newspapers, magazines, other media outlets.
