Does anyone know if someone has come up with a better media manager for mambo?
I've just been playing around with tinymc's new advanced features and it seems that something like this should at least be part of the media manager.
Users could upload images, edit, resize and crop if they have gd/netpbm or imagemagick...I'm sure most do by now.
furthermore it would be very good if an image was automaticaly made into a thumbnail on upload as mosthumb does.
I'd really like to see much better dynamic image management in mambo and not just in the media manager--(which is very very basic---you can't even move files around for instance) BUT all the way through....
Perhaps an advanced image editor tab like the parameters page would be good when dealing with content, providing the ability there to set pop-ups for instance and resize images on the fly???
Just some thoughts ...
For now I'd be happy with novacaines editor being able to do the advanced features of tinymc...then we'd have a really feature rich editor.
Perhaps one of the ultimate and easiest features of the perfect editor would be that when one inserts an image into content and resizes it, it actually was resized on the fly...this would be the easiest solution for novice mambers.
Many fail to realise that the image they upload and insert via editors remains the same filesize and the pages become rediculously heavy...
Anyone ?
