Question Configuring PHP and mySQL for workstation

Hi everyone,
I am trying to setup Apache with php and mysql on my win 2000 machine but I am having trouble.

software versions I am trying to install:

1. Apache 1.3.3
2. MySQL 4.1.7
3. PHP 4.3.9

All versions are for win32 platform...

I have sucesfully setup mySQL, Apache but there seems to be a problem with my php... I can see php pages which I think means that php is infact installed, what I think is going wrong is that php isn't talking to mySQL ... because when I try to install mambo it can't connect to to the database and says invalid user and password... it even did that when I asked it to connect to a remote mySQL databse, which I know works because I use it for other stuff...

If anyone of you has an idea of what I can do to find out what the problem is and how to fix it I would really appreciate it ! Or if you can just point me to a complete tutorial...

Thx in advance for your help

One advise: change your Title. "Help needed" isn't really useful, is it. Try stating your problem or question in the message.
