Question on Poll hackers

One of the sites that I look after had an odd POLL glitch show up. It seems that there were 900 extra votes on a POLL that we could not account for.
I know that POLLS have been hacked on Mamboportal.com from time to time. I was wondering what the mechanism for a POLL hack was, considering that one `cannot vote` more than once in xxxx seconds on these POLLS.

Any suggestions for locking down my POLLS better would be appreciated.

Get this folks! The Poll hacker confessed.. It seems if you make your POLL
selection and then click on the VOTE button 10 or 20 times, you will
get 10 or 20 votes. It is that simple.

What kind of world do we live in when the hackers come forward and
tell us their secrets? :-)
