Which component / components should I choose?

Basically I need a component which forces new user to complete a form/make a profile asking for specific info. (examples below).

The component should be able to:

• Existing users should be able to update their profiles with the info required.

• I also need to be able to extract/export the info somehow, so I can analyze the data and use the conclusions in my FAQ. IE. Preffered sail size for people over 80kg.s etc.

• Some of the fields should be editable by the user, and some should remain locked.

• Users should be able to view each others profiles.

• The userlist should be shared with simpleboard and MyPMSII

• The profile should be shared/integrated with simpleboard

• If the component allows avatars these should be global, and existing simpleboard avatars used for my old users.

• I need this to be integrated with a private messaging component preferably MyPMSII since this also integrates with Simpleboard.

Some of the questions I need answered are:

1. what sailquiver they have to fill in questions about their sailquiver; sail area/size and brand.

2. Their board quiver; windsurf boards and brands.

3. Bodyweight.

4. Height.

5. Experience level. beginner-intermediate-advanced-expert-pro

6. Favourite spot

7. City

7. Any other interesting info

Get community builder from MamboForge. It would do most of what your after.

As far as I can establish community builder does not integrate completely with Simpleboard. It has seperate user lists and avatars etc. Any other suggestions?

EDIT: As a matter of fact i find it hard to find out what the different profile components do and how they do it. I wish the developers would have this info available in one place. This would eliminate the need to read countless forum threads to establish an idea of what the different components are about!

No hard feelings though. I truly appreciate all the great work that is beeing done in this departement!

I am basically looking for the same but with the added difficulty of also needing to integrate it with Multisite hack.

To tell you the thruth, I havn't really been looking for a while.
I got the impression that some interesting developments are taking place and I've been waiting for news. If someone has something new to report to this thread please do so!

You calling me BB acutually had me wondering for a while. The thing is that that is the nickname that most people call me, and also my initials.

Try this thread Combining Userlist and PartyStaff

Also Party Staff, available in Mambo Forge.

Party Staff has a tool to synchronise the users database, although I do not know if that means two separate tables.

More development in the User area would really benefit the community;

It looks like these things are falling into place neatly. It seems like Simpleboard will support community builder as of 1.0.4 stable. Everything will then be nicely integrated.
