4.5.1 contact component

So, I hate the new contact component. Anyone know of one that works like the old 4.5 component? If not, I'll probably end up porting the old one to 4.5.1..

It can work like the old contact component, check it on my site

. Just create a category, the go to manage contacts create a new item, make sure its the site default, published and under the category you have created, save it and thats all, no need to port the old contact component.

Actually, it only does that when you have only one contact. If you have multiple, it would list the categories and you'd have to pick from there. Just whipped up a patch that makes it so it lists all the contacts directly when there is only one category.

i used your patch and it worked....but is there a way to have it like the old mambo and not show the email addresses but just who you would like to contact??

Why can't it be so that with one click you get the standard contact page straight away, showing the prefered default contact, and the dropdown to select any others?

All these clicks in most 4.5.1 components makes no sense to me.

You can mambovince, create a menu item that links to a Contact Item & choose a contact - make sure that contact has the dropdown for other contacts activated.

Maybe this could be a setting in the parameters?
