Default Importing SQL file into MSAS

Hi all you Mambers,

I'm trying to backup my mambo db, and then upload it to another mysql server, but I'm getting an error. I went ahead and used phpMyAdmin's save of the entire database's structure and data, but then I got the following error upon import into the new database via phpMyAdmin:

ERROR CODE
#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'option varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
ordering int(11) uns

Has anyone ever had this before? I'm taking the data from my Web hosted version and putting it into the Mambo Stand Alone Server.

Best,
Ryan

Hi.

OPTION happens to be a reserved word in the world of MySQL. It also happens to be the name of a column used in one of your tables. Consequently, the SQL text is causing the interpreter to choke in confusion.

A simple workaround is to re-export your database using phpMyAdmin but this time making sure that the option to enclose table and field names with backquotes is enabled. That should do the trick.
