Default mosforms Intro Text

I'm playing with the latest 4.5.1 RC and I decided to play with the mosforms component as well. I'm have two questions. I'm not sure if they're specific to 4.5.1 or not.

1) The Intro Text on a mosforms Form won't stay. I can enter it, save it and go right back into it again and it's gone.

2) What's the best way to apply a style to the error text? I tried just putting a <span style=""> tag around the error text, but mosforms mangles it when it displays the form for editing again.

Thanks!

I have the same problem, is it a bug??? I can enter the data direct into the database, but the next time i save the form again the data has erased again, very frustrating. Is there another forms manager??

I left a similar message over on the mamboforge.net forums for the mosforms project so hopefully that will glean an answer for this.

As for other forms managers, there are at least two commercial ones that I know of. AkoForms (http://www.konze.de/content/view/22/39/) for around 20 Euro and Phil-A-Form (http://www.blueflameit.ltd.uk/Produc...rms_for_Mambo/) for around 40 Euro. I haven't used either one. There appears to be some bad blood between the authors which doesn't help in picking between them.

The main thing I don't like about either of them is that they are licensed per domain which I _really_ don't care for. My needs are fairly small and I'm hoping I can just get mosForms to work sufficiently for me.

Ok it looks like the editor, i use tinymce, clears or refreshes its content before it saves it. therefore it saves empty content everytime to the database.

I will also search for the solution and if i find it i'll post it here.

Wow -- good catch! I disabled the WYSIWYG editors and it saved it fine. Thanks -- that's a great workaround. I'll report it back over in mamboforge.net so the author can fix it.

Sorry to 'rewaken' an old thread, but does anybody know if this issue has been solved? I'm having the same problem and it's 25th November, so it's been a long time...

No its not solved conoroleary, (As far as I know)
The workaround is to use InternetExplorer for Mambo instead of FireFox as a browser.
