Default tinymce: after pasting html content in FF, save and cancel buttons don't work

guilty app: tinymce as shipped in mambo when used in firefox for windows, linux and probably others.

to reproduce, copy some styled text from a word processor or browser window. paste into tinymce. save button no longer works.

anyone have a fix?

anyone know if this is mambo specific, or should this reported to tinymce directly?

I have a similar problem with the mosce beta

i've tried it at several sites and works perfectly.... everthing i ever wanted BUT on one site, the save and cancel buttons don't work.... i can click them, the site reloads and i'm back at the edit screen.... so i cannot leave the edit-mode.... is it a server problem? must be cause it's the absolute same mambo installation on every testet system.
some extra info about the server are:
linux
Apache/1.3.26
PHP Version 4.2.2
register globals on
safe mode off

so, any ideas?

scox, i'm assuming your issue was only occuring in FF as well?

it actually sounds like something different, as when i hit the save button, the page doesn't refresh, the button just does nothing; which leads me to suspect javascript issues (rewriting a button or variable or something). unfortunetly my js skills are not up to par.

i've verified this on mambo 4.0 (i backported tinymce) and 4.5.2 running on redhat, gentoo and ubunut boxes, all using different versions of php and apache.

mambo seems to treat posts and gets alike - i've always been able to switch from one to the other without problems. so if your having problems with post, perhaps it's with your server, php may be configured to handle post variables wieredly? that's my best guess.

by the way, "and he redirects me" should be "and it redirects me". in english most (not all) nonliving pronouns are referred to with the neuter term. of course, my english ain't the best example either... :-)

anyway the issue i was having is definitely a bug with the firefox on linux. i've verified it with many platform and browser combinations. now to hunt down the right bug list.....

Having the same problem. I'm running several Mambo sites on the same server, and the new installed ones works fine. It's the one that I have updated to mambo 4.5.2.3 that has got the Save and Cancel problem.

This reflekts to a javascript error, but how do I fix it ??
