htmlarea3 xtd image upload problems

Does anyone know how to fix this problem with uploading images with the HTMLArea3 XTD ?

This occurs both from the front end and the backend when I try to upload images into images/stories using the htmlarea3 xtd. It is probably not a permissions problem, I have checked this.

You might want to try setting the directory /mambots/htmlarea3/ (and all folders inside) to 744 "just to be sure" the permissions are correct.

I have heard this has worked for a few people who have experienced a similar problem and oddly enough... "changing/verifying" the permissions seems to be the viable work around.

I changed the to 744 and now the editor icons are not dispaying at all. Do you think I should switch back to 777?

Problem still exists, but everything else on the editor works great, just can't upload images.

I find it strange that you cannot view the icons now but you can try changing the permissions on that folder back to 777 and see what happens.

This is odd... I just loaded the latest version of Mambo and the HTMLArea3XTD mambot on a new site and am getting the same issues with loading pictures as you are.

I am going to try to contact the person who wrote the mambot and see what he can suggest or add. I too changed the permissions to every thing you can imagine but still only the image loading area is lacking... I am sure there is an easy fix but none the less I find this very odd

I will report anything I can find out...

Major bummer, I tried going to the authors website to ask about a fix for the image issue but it appears the link is now a dead one.

Can anyone else comment or suggest a fix for this problem with the editor? It really is a pain when you cannot insert an image into your story... Makes it quite boring if you ask me...

Anyway, any and all advice would be welcomed by at least two of us

I think i found anser in other post ans its not good

If you have the free version of area3 the upload feature is disabled

It only works if you buy it on http://www.novocaine.de/ but the site is down for the moment.
