Content in main content area dissapears if I try to edit.
When I add a new item to news etc I can enter content into intro text box and main content boxes fine. I can save and view pages in browser fine. However if I later click on the news item to edit something the previous content shows in the intro text box but the content in main content area dissapears. If I try saving even without editing something the same thing happens.
Currently I have to open a preview window before attempting to edit content and copy my previously saved content from the preview window into the main content editing box to avoid having to rewrite content on edits. Very frustrating.
Re: Content in main content area dissapears if I try to edit.
I am using TinyMCE but the trouble is my server system is Apple OS 10.3.7 and my server software is WebStar V (not Apache). TinyMCE is the only editor that works under OS X. It now works with the latest version of Safari and with FireFox (which I use) and overall I'm reasonably contented except for this bug.
I noticed that the developers of TinyMCE have later version of TinyMCE on their site claiming many bug fixes. I wonder if it's possible to upgrade just this component or whether I'll have to wait for Mambo to impliment a newer version. Then again I'm sure Mambo plans in future to use an alternate editor as the default. I worry that they may choose an editor that wont work with Macintosh's at all.
As far as the dissapearing content bug I was hoping there may be some simple fix to make the previous content stick when any editing was done.
Re: Content in main content area dissapears if I try to edit.
This seems to be a bug in TinyMCE for 4.5.1. If you turn off the editor all of the stuff will magically reappear. I at first thought it was a permissions problem but after setting almost everything to 777 it worked for a while. Next day it didn't. Its the same for new content. I've been using Notetab Lite(freeware) and just copy and pasting.
