Default Assigned Template CSS/Stylesheet

I am having a problem with the Assigned Template functionality.

I have an Assigned Template setup for a few of my menu items. When I load the pages mapping to these menu items, everything comes up fine except that I noticed that the CSS entry in the header of the page is still pointing to the Default Template CSS and not the Assigned Template's CSS.

Anyone else run into this problem? Seems like a bug to me.

Nah, it's pointing to the assigned template's css, they just all use the same name. Unless something really wacky is going on on your end, the template assigment feature does not actually change the stylesheet tag in your template.

I've just made a suggestion over on the official forums that the mosShowHead function incorporate the stylesheet tag, for greater control over what templates show what css from the backend. So you could just change the stylesheet instead of a whole template, or you could assign common stylesheets to multiple templates to reduce page loading time.

Anyway, apparently there's some new function to allow custom html insertion in 4.5.2, so I guess we'll see how that pans out.

I'd like to see better control in the backend tho ;P

Cheers,

Damian

Default Re: Assigned Template CSS/Stylesheet

Hmmm.....I beg to differ.
It is true that the name of the CSS is the same across all templates. But the location should be different, and it is not.

When I look at the source of the html between my default pages and my assigned pages, the stylesheet href is EXACTLY the same. It should be different as my default template is stored in a different template folder of course.

Well, you must've incorrectly written your template or something, as Mambo does not alter this tag dynamically.

So just re-write that tag to point to your stylesheets.
