Default Submenu From Top Menu not working?

Hi,

I'm trying to implement a top menu on my site, for example im using the javabean template as this has the top menu feature already in with options home, news, contact us and links.

I created a new link called Sublevel1 with the parent item being "home".
I made sure it was published also.
When i went back to the main page, click on "home" on the top menu - it didnt show my sublevel link called Sublevel1.

I repeated this process for the main menu, and this worked fine.

Is this a bug, or is there something im missing?

I've also looked in the manual.

I just have the same problem.
If I change parameter to vertikal menu the submenu can be seen. If I change back to horizontal submenu is lost again. Hope that somebody can help.

I'm pretty sure the Mambo menuing system does not support submenus when displayed horizontally. You may want to take a look at DMTigra menu or SWMenu which both support submenus. Tigra menu supports multiple levels.
