Default How to export joomla site developed local to remote server?

I'm new using joomla and i was wondering if there is a way to, after installing joomla on your local machine of course, work on your site locally then exporting it (the site) to the remote server hosting your web site.

Help, please!!!

Hello, sorry my english, but I will try help you.

Try use jpack component for this
http://extensions.joomla.org/compone...606/Itemid,35/

Or

1 - Send end all joomla files to you host server (ftp),
2 - use phpmyadmin (local) to export database (sql file),
3 - after you go to phpmyadmin (remote server) and import sql file (your_data_base.sql).
4 - Edit configuration.php file (joomla root directory) and change root, database password, data base user name, site url and etc....

bye,

Default Re: How to export joomla site developed local to remote server?

Hi there I have tried with jpack but the problem I have is with the phpmyadmin part. I get corruption when I import the sql database.
I also am unsure of how to upload the file jpack created to my site to over write the existing site.
Sorry if this does not make sense, I am new at this and am looking for guidance.
