I have upgraded my Mambo website to Joomla 1.0.11 and got all the components, modules and content into the Joomla website. My problem however is that the frontpage content does not want to appear on the frontpage.

I have searched to forums for a solution to this problem that had me running around in circles for the past few days. I even created a new article and published it to the frontpage with no success. Looking at the error.log I do not see anything there that can give me a clue as to why the content is not coming through.
I tried enabling SEF and renaming the htaccess file, but no luck there either. No matter what I do, the only content coming through on the frontpage is:
"The page you are trying to access does not exist.
Please select a page from the main menu. "

The website I am working on can be viewed at www.kokstadonline.co.za and the Joomla installation is at www.kokstadonline.co.za/joomla

will appreciate any assistance on this matter, as I now deem myself as completely clueless

Your site treats the first item in your menu as the front page. Is the first item in your menu (usually called Home with a URL index.html) still the frontpage component?

I'm getting the same issue but not only with my home page but all my links see here http://computerpcrepairs.com
I'm not sure what happened it was fine until my hoster got scared and pull joomla for security reasons and then put it back and now i am finding a lot of things have changed like chmod settings which is a pain to go back and fix.
