Default Joomla logging users out continuously after upgrade to 1.0.8

Hi Guys

I recently upgraded Joomla! from version 1.0.5 to version 1.0.8. I uploaded the files to the server and everything worked well except one thing.

Ever since the upgrade to 1.0.8 Joomla! keeps logging my users out of the site. Even with "Remember Me" checked users complain about the system logging them out all the time.

You can view the site at http://www.arsenalsa.co.za to see if possibly you can figure out why this has happened.

The problem was not there pre-upgrade and only began right after I did the upgrade.

Any advice is appreciated.

Regards
Justin

OK. I have found the route of the problem for anyone else who may have this similar experience.

1) login to the adminisrator section of your site
2) Click on the Global Configuration button on the main page
3) Look for the "Server" tab once the config has loaded and click this tab
4) You will see a setting called: "Session Authentication Method:" and next to it there is a drop down list. Yours will most likely be set to Level 3 and herein lies the problem.
5) Change the value to Level 2 or Level 1
6) Click the Save button and your problem is solved.

HI Funk19,
Well, I had the same problems (in fact more problems) as in User Login.
Most of the time user login with proper id and password, although the system reflect "you had successfully login" but it does not.
Very few, by luck (may be) it can login and really login, but it 'kick' out after few clicks.
Well, I tried to enter the Global Configuration, and at the Server Tab, I don't see any of "Session Authentication Method:"??
Anyone can help?
