Default Second-level Submenu Expand / Collapse??

Hi there,

I may be missing something obvious, but i can't get my sub-submenu to collapse/expand.

Here is what I have (coming from the same menu module):

1 --> Top-level Menu Item
2 -----> Sublevel menu item 1
2 -----> Sublevel menu item 2
3 ------------> sub-Sublevel menu item 1
3 ------------> sub-Sublevel menu item 2
3 ------------> sub-Sublevel menu item 3
2 -----> Sublevel menu item 3

I need the Level 3 (sub-Submenu) items only to be collapsed by default and expanded only when their respective parent (Level 2) is clicked.

I have tried by keeping the Expand option in the menu's parameters to "No" but that collapses all the menu levels, not just the lowest level, as I require.

Also, if I create a separate menu mod, how do I get it to position itself between two levels of the existing menu?

There must be an obvious way, I just need to be enlightened :-).

Many thanks!
