Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to associate custom properties to a content/page.

If yes, I would like to know if there is some extension that allow to set this cutom properties at authoring time.

I am referring to general custom property to "attach" to a page, properties that could be read when the page is loaded in the browser.
An example of this custom property could be a date (I mean not the date set by the system but a date the content provider could insert manually)

Now, specifically, what I would like is to allow the author to control the appearance of a given content item (for example a news) in home page.

Maybe I can do that by associating the content to the front page using the Content Items Manager?

Last thing: maybe you could suggest me a good extension for managing news/events?
