Help with new posts on this board

It's happened a couple of times... I click new posts, it gives
me 4 pages of new posts, then I'm on page 2, get busy with
somethng, come back to new posts and it give me an error
that there's no matches. I tried clearing cookies (doesn't help),
searching by date (it insists on a keyword) and nothing can
get me back to the new posts. Any suggestions? Is there
a timeout that you can increase?

Yeah...that kinda sucks. Sometimes I can stay on track using the back button and then the pagination links to advance through the pages. Once you click on the "New Posts" button, though...you have to start from scratch.

Fortunately, the forum is very well organized and its easy to browse through the sections you are most interested in.

Well, I did not find something to increase this timeout. But I'm currently searching for a hack, which shows you todays new posts at least.

I guess I have found a nice solution for this now. The "New Posts" now have been replaced by a "View Posts" dropdown menu. It gives you the following possibilities:

- New Posts (since your last visit)
- Today's Posts
- Your Posts
- Unanswered Threads (This one is really great!!!)
- Threads you've started

Wonderful news! Thanks Arthur. Now...at the risk of sounding like a complaint...I miss my 'one click' new posts button. Since there's room on the menu bar, can it be added back in? If not...I am perfectly happy with the new link, as the additional options are well worth an extra click. Just thought I'd ask.

Honestly, I would add this one click link again, but I also have to think about 800x600 users. If I would add another link, it would be very compressed for them, so I think the current solution is fine for everyone.

Yes...I happen to be one of "them" . But I am certainly happy with the improvement.

What I really like is the "Unanswered Posts" feature. One click and you can see, where still answers are missing and where people need help. A very helpfull feature.
