Default Internet Marketing

It would be very beneficial to those interested in the marketing side of the mambosites to be able to access the following material:

Basic resarch material for Internet marketing.
F.ex. average click-though on banners, how many pr. 1000 sign up for a newsletter on average.

Either through a forum or links to sites that have this info on hand.
(not "pay-for-info" sites but rather some public information, f.ex. university studies)

It would be valuable to being able to compare one´s results in internet-marketing to a researched average.

Best regards,
Hermann

Default Re: Internet Marketing

Hermann,

Mambo has allowed me to merge my passions : datamining, Customer Relationship Management and communications. It has been an invaluable vehicle for generating my own data, as well as aids my clients gather data about their customers.

Granted, neither my clients or myself generate the type of Traffic that Mambo Portal does, but, in out little worlds, we do all right.

A lot depends on the market, and the clientel. Having a wepage is a lot like smiling in the dark...if you don;t tell folks what you are doing, nobody knows.

I beleive that the key to proper communication is a two way conversation. If folks won;t come to your webpage, you have to bring it to them. Thus, the need for e-mail marketing to drive web traffic, and web traffic to build your e-mail list. It sounds great in theory, but in practice, its a whole different ball game.

Feel free to get in touch with me via this forum (PM me), or drop by http;//www.customerloyaltynetwork.com if you would like to discuss your findings/theories with mine. Love to talk more about this.

RH.

Default Re: Internet Marketing

Hi you both,

sadly I'm not quite firm with this. But I have put up some basic information over at www.mampire.com, which is my adserver for all my Mambo websites.

It would be great if you can explain me a little more detailed, what more is needed.
