Default Community Builder

What do you guys think about this new component comming out? "Community Builder" I've been testing the alpha version and I like it. It has some nice features and I think will be a great component for any site that is like a community. This shows once again that mambo is not just a CMS!

It sounds great. I've been waiting on this one for a long time, since MamboJoe first announced he was starting work on it. I hope it's worth the wait.

Speaking of the project... I've e-mailed Trail about doing graphics and haven't had any further reply after requesting specifics on what's needed. A little feedback would be helpful if this is still needed.

Anybody on the project want to fill me in? Unfortunately I only have so much time available to give, so I'll take on other (paying) projects if someone else is going to do it... or I'll block out the time later if there's a delay.

They have chosen me as the lead designer for the project. I will be redesigning the the backend of it mostly. There won't be much to do in the front since everything looks pretty simple really. What do you guys think this component also needs? And what do you guys prefer in the frontend, Looks or simplicity.

What kind of features will this project have outside of the existing Mambo?

Basically when a user registeres himself in regular mambo the rhe rest don't know naything about him or her. What this component does is a user can register him/herself and then edit personal information.

That information is stored OF COURSE in a MySQL database and shown on the site with a userlist. That userlist contains so far a search feature and a list of users with a small image next to every user.

There is a module which comes with the component when downloaded, its an useronline hack for this particular project. It just makes the Whos Online user's nickname a hyperlink and you can click on the name to go directly to that users profile.
