Well I was setting up my new site today, Backend Design, and I realised I needed a new menu system to go with my CVS copy of 4.5.1 b4.
Stingrey's Tigra menu looked like a refreshing change from JSCook, so I checked it out. Very configurable with loads of parameters, although of course the module params don't work from 4.5 -> 4.5.1.
So I decided this would be a great quick project to get used to the new backend parameters features, which allow you to set form parameters from the XML install file. Very handy!
A few hours later and I'm proud to announce the alpha release of Stingrey's Tigra menu for 4.5.1 b4
Here's a screenshot:
As you can see this allows for much easier setting of parameters, including automatically generated lists of Mambo menus and images for selection.
Note that the XML variable for the image drop downs is incorrect in the current developers manual, it is "imagelist" not "mos_imagelist". I'm sure that will be fixed for the b4 release, which I think will be very soon
This was just a small challenge I set myself today, although practically I could now use it to make a backend Tigra menu module for the
Backend Elements project I just registered at Mamboforge
Cheers,
Damian
<edit>
Just noticed that the yes/no parameters don't seem to be working, I've tried using lists and radio settings and it is using the correct parameter names and variables... Strange. Either it's me, 4.5.1 b4, or a bug in Stingrey's module. Although it's very polished, so it's probably me.
