With the release of a new version of the JSCook Menu system (version 1.25) by its creator Heng Yuan, I’ve released a new version which utilises this new version of the Javascript code.

Hi.

I download the module and all works great but i see it work based on a css where we can modify the apearance and the colors and other things.

But how we modify the width of the menu in order to fill the space we want to fill whith the menu, it apears to always be in a default width

Where can we change it in order to do what i want.

it can be posible manipulate in the parameters or it would be in other releases

Please some help here.

Unfortunately, looking at the code and looking at the creators site:
http://www.cs.ucla.edu/%7Eheng/JSCookMenu/

There seems to be no easy way to do this.
Basically the JS Code automatically determines the width of the menu item.
You could probably do this via the css file and suggest you look at the creators site for help on how to do this.

On another note, I'm also looking at other menu systems to see if I can integrate them into a mambo module.
I've had some success with the Tigra menu and a menu system created by Ger Versluis.
But either of those is still a long way away from a release.

I am also trying to adjust the menu width. I see that you can use width_parent to set the pixel width for each menu item and module_width to se the width of the whole menu, but I would like to make the width_parent variable while setting the module_width to something fixed. This is because some of my parrent menu names are longer than others and if they are all the same width, the menu is too big to fit into the space I've allocated. If they parent menu items were variable width, everything would fit.

Where you put the width_parent and module_width commands in ordes for this to work

Can you show us a path or a example where to put it in order to put it to work

Please show us some directions.

These parameters ( width_parent, module_width ) are for Display Menu - Tigra only.


There are NO equvalent parameters or functionality for Display Menu - JSCook
