PUArcade Update!

PnFlashGames is the premier arcade component for PostNuke and they are involved in the development of a somewhat standardized arcade for several other CMS's as well. Pragmatic Utopia has partnered with PnFlashGames to bring you a better arcade product for MOS. Here are the specifics:

-PUArcade will still be PUArcade, and www.pragmaticutopia.com will still be your source for news and support. This news and support will get EVEN BETTER as I have to spend less time converting games to work with my arcade.
-PUArcade will utilize the PnFlashGames API, which will enable PUArcade to use all the games developed for PnFlashGames, over 150 of them!
-Pragmatic Utopia will gain a larger support network for resolving bugs.
-More Administration and a few other features will be added in preparing PUArcade to accept the PnFlashGames API!
-PUArcade will still be GPL and still be FREE!

Whats the timeframe on this? Well, I am hoping to have a release out, with much of the functionality of the two systems merged fairly soon. Probably sooner than PUArcade 2.0 would have been out on the track I was pursuing. This first release of 2.0 will be for MOS 4.5. I will, however, have a version out for 4.6 shortly after.

It seams that the High Scores issue is not resolved jet!
Are we going to have an update on this any time soon?

This problem has been solved, and many have successfully implemented the fix. The solution involves changing the permissions on the directory. I haven't heard of anyone who has properly changed the permissions and then still had the problem, so this seems to be the fix.

It stopped being fun for me, so I stopped working on it for a while. I might pick it back up at some point, but in the mean time, i am still supporting PUArcade 1.4.

And now the website has been hacked; what a bugger... If you're still around fender, I might be able to give you a hand to get the thing fired up again - let me know! I've got a website for a youth band and we're very keen to see this thing with more functionality/games perhaps!
