MOS 4.5 HTMLArea3 XTD-C v1.0

HTMLArea3 XTD-C v1.0

The popular WYSIWYG editor for Mambo Open Source comes to you as a component now.
Fully configureable and with several bugfixes and additional security fixes.

Running HTMLArea3 XTD v1.6

No need to manually install HTMLArea3 XTD anymore.

Multilang support.

Changes:
- Changed htmlarea_xtd.js.php to a .js file as I assume that this gave most of the read/write permission issues
- Complete rework of CSS inclusion
- Changed ImageManager and popups to work with lang files
- Added sections and categories dropdown to hyperlink popup
- Added more CSS styles to the dropdown
- Removed stripBaseURL function (IE) to have absolute paths including domain (helpful when using YANC)
- Added additional security fixes to ImageManager and FileManager
- Added undo/redo functionality
- Fixed path problems when Mambo resides in a subdirectory
- Added functionality to create folders in ImageManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable image uploads in ImageManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable image deletion in ImageManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable folder creation in ImageManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable folder deletion in ImageManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable file uploads in FileManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable file deletion in FileManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable folder creation in FileManager
- Added functionality to enable/disable folder deletion in FileManager
- Optimized code and fixed several bugs
- Did some make-up on folder images

Grab your copy now!

cheers,
novocaine

Absolutely great news - thanks for the development. I've been using the 3-xtd as my editor of choice, now I'm looking forward to the new functions (esp. undo/redo was a real wish!) and the bugfixes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

BTW - are there any changes about xhtml compliancy ?

Respect,

uk63

I'm sorry, but I don't have any influence on the XHTML compliancy as the editor hooks on implemented editing options in IE and Mozilla.

Hope you'll like it anyway

cheers,

Coffee Re: HTMLArea3 XTD-C v1.0

Sounds good, but I run into some errors.

Copied editor.htmlarea3_xtd-c.php in the /editor directory.
Even CHMODEed it to 777.
Initial installation of the component went fine.
But then when editing and saving parameters in the HTMLArea3 XTD-C components, I always get the same error:

Parse error: parse error in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/administrator/components/com_htmlarea3_xtd-c/config.htmlarea3_xtd-c.php on line 22

After that error, all values in 'Global settings' and 'Editor configuration' is cleared.
And when I reset these values by using the 'reset do default'-buttons and try to save again, I get the same parse error again and it all starts all over..;-)

Any thoughts on this?

Hi,

I just installed it - like it a lot - but have some questions.
First: Whenever I try to open the htmlarea3_xtd_c entry in the component area f the backend, I get the msg that this page could not be found...
The editor itelf seems to work just fine. I don't see the functions to create new directories in Image/file manager, however. All the ther enable/disable funcions dito. I already set chmod 777 as described in the readme.
Any idea what is wrong here (if anything at all...)?
Scripting in IE is allowed, too. Under Netscape there is no error msg, but nothing happens at all.

Thanks,

UK63

Am I getting this right: You have the menu entry HTMLArea3 XTD-C and when clicking on it you get an 404 error? Can you (this regards ALL people, posting errors) please write some more about your used system, browser, or if Mambo resides in a subdir?

cheers,
novocaine

Novocaine,
I am using the regular file:

21 ?>
22 <script type="text/javascript" type="text/javascript">
23 _editor_url = "<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site."/".$editor_url; ?>";
24 _editor_lang = "<?php echo $editor_lang; ?>";
25 </script>

Browsers IE and Mozilla same results. Active scripting activated.
Mambo installed in main directory not in subdir.

Thanks and rgds

Misunderstanding I meant the parsed line 22 where your error message is.
Can you post what it says after it's parsed by PHP?
P. S.: Please use code formatting when posting code (the "#" button or the one that says "PHP"), thx.

Hi novocaine,

Code:
Am I getting this right: You have the menu entry HTMLArea3 XTD-C and when clicking on it you get an 404 error? Can you (this regards ALL people, posting errors) please write some more about your used system, browser, or if Mambo resides in a subdir?
Sorry, I should have included that.

The error is (German "Die Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden..überprüfen Sie Ihre Netzwerkeinstellungen-....)

I use Win XP Pro SP1, Browsers are IE 6 and Netscape 7.1, Mambo is not in a subdir.

And: I detected sth else: In the image manager, I miss the upload possibility, I just can insert an image that has already been uploaded...

Would it help to deinstall xtd and xtd-c and then just install xtd-c???

Thanks a lot,
uk63
