The first release of the Wine component for Mambo OS.

Hi to all!
I've just coded a little component that lets you handle a wine database. You can handle many information like colour, aging, country, year, price, grapes types, etc.

You can download it from www.lagarlata.net .

Actually I released only the english version, but in few days I will translate it also in italian.

If you want, you can help me to translate this software in other languages.

This release supports pictures, categories and comments (only for registered users)...

I planned to create also and advanced release of the software with a full wine card, such as the one that is used by the sommeliers. Mayebe I will release this new version in two weeks ... or maybe in a month!

So, if you are interested in this software, please download it, use it and distribuite it!

I would like to receive your comments, your opinions, and of course, the bugs list!

The Wine database is a great idea. It will work great when I have a wine tasting so everyone can remember and rate what they tried. I have one major request, though. Is there anyway you can allow members to ADD wines to the database? It would be nice to allow them to post their favorite wines this way without having to go through me.

Great idea! I really could use it.

Being a fork of Akogallery, your component suffers from the same bug as the recipes component, which is also a fork of the akogallery component. The problem is that, when a comment and at least 2 votes or more have been added, then the details of the wine are no longer visible. The rating box is still visible, but the details and the comment box are gone.

Perhaps Arthur has an idea of what the problem could be, as he was the original coder of the component.

Anyway, maybe someone has any idea of what's going on with this otherwise great component.

hi

thank you for this great component.
it looks like good but i have a small problem.

i created a category white wines... fill out the form with the data from my wine and publish the content.

now when i look to my page i can see the category...the name of the wine but no description. !!!

can you tell me what`s happend ???
