I'm heavily testing Mambo 4.5 (and phpShop) in an server environment with PHP5 and MySQL 5.0.0alpha (Mambo 4.5 is NOT ready for PHP5! There is a lot to do for our core developers...).
For accessing MySQL via the new MySQLi interface, I needed a database independent interface. So I integrated PEAR :: DB (http://pear.php.net/package/DB) into Mambo and it works fine for me on Linux and Win.

Please get your copy and test it. Mambo must be more database independent in the future and this is one step in the right direction.

Please post any issues and bugs.
