Letterman 1.1 released

Today I've released a new version of Letterman. The Letterman Component is a Simple, one-mailing-list, but effective Newsletter component with HTML-Newsletter and Image support.

New features:

multi-language (currently available: english, french, dutch, germani, germanf),
PHP5 compatible,
personalization support (using [NAME] Tags like in YaNC),
full frontend administration for Newsletters,
send mails to confirmed subscriber accounts only,
new module.

You can download the latest version from mambo-phpshop.net only, because mamboforge.net won't let me upload the file.

but this link is not correct in my opinion it lacks of the mos_config_live_site variable to be clickable or pastable

So if my think is correct you need to changhe

Looks really nice!!!

but i have a little problem with letterman 1.1. I get the error message "LM_ERROR_SENDING" and dont get a subscription email to desired test adress. But in backend i can find every new subscription.

A little bit help would be great :-)

fixed it, works fine now... just define a the LM_ERROR_SENDING in the german language file... and set up mambo mail options correctly!

another thing:

can frontend users like editors or publishers view and edit the subscriber list? That would be a great feature... Cannot give any backend access to the frontend users. With that little feature, letterman would be absolutely perfect ;-)!

I would be satisfied if someone can tell me how i have to write a little component or module that shows me the number of subscribed emails in letterman and simply list the email-adresses one after another, without editing/deleting features...

Hope someone can help out :-)

Newbie here. Love letterman! Thanks!

I'm still using 1.0a 'cause I had a hell of a time getting 1.1 to work properly.

I would like to know if it's possible to change the Email template for new subscribers? (ie: the one that says..thanks for signing up etc...click here to confirm your email etc..etc...)

and I would also like it to stop adding the /mambo at the end of my link in that email. ie: I want www.yoursite.com not www.yoursite.com/mambo.

I realize that /mambo is nesseccary for Mambo to work, but could I mask it out only for the email?

i've an interesting problem
i am using letterman 1.1 and mambo 4.5.1 stable.

everything works fine. but my guests don't get a confirm mail. when i use my own mail adresses i always get confirm mails (aon, aonmail etc.) Others domains don't?

does anyone know whats the problem?

hey, quite good tool...

but i get some trouble on my mambo ver. 4.5 Stable (1.0.9)... If i´m trying to use your tool in my backend, then i get this message at the subscriber manager:

Do u have any idea occur this message???

I got the similar error message when I installed another component, mosform.

Any idea on what caused this and suggestion for solution pls?
