Mambo Spread Firefox is proud to announce the release of version 2 of the Firefox search plugin installer module for Mambo 4.5 & 4.5.1+

Christian Meichtry (dr. corbeille) has improved greatly on the original module which now retrieves a list of search plugins from Mambosphere.com using a custom XML file. This means that once you have this module installed, all new additions to the search plugin repository will automatically be added to the installer list in the module.

For those of you that don't have the original module, or even know what I'm talking about, these search plugins allow Firefox users to search Mambo sites from the search window in their browser. The original module included plugins to search six major Mambo sites, and now there are plugins for six German sites by Christian Hent (descartes) and also MamboFrance.

The module allows your users to easily install these plugins for Firefox, and we're also accepting new sites to have search plugins stored in the Mambosphere repository.

This version even has the option of adding a get firefox button to the module, with your affiliate ID if you wish.
