MamboMatch RC2 has been released and is available for download from
http://www.MamboResources.com.
RC2 has an all-new built-in private messaging system. The Mambomatch messaging system
includes:
configurable message quotas
read & reply tracking
link to profile
email notification of new messages
MyPMS and MyPMSPro are still options but the new messaging system
offers improved system integrity and navigation.
Wysiwyg editor is in the works but it currently does not work
properly with Firefox. Source code for the messaging section is included for
anyone who wants to tinker with it.
Image and thumbnail sizes now configurable on the admin console. Be sure
to set them before you use the component.
MamboMatch can now use Mambo's database. On certain platforms
MamboMatch's db connection caused Mambo to lose its database
connection. External db will still be an option. I recommend you DO NOT
use the external db. Yes this is a major change but I think it will be
more stable this way as well as extensible with custom modules.
