Default HDI configure MOSpjirc? (done)

My host gives me the following:

Put this html in your webpage to make a chat room gateway:
<form target="entropychat" action="http://myhost.net:2084/">
Nick Name: <input type="text" name="nick" value="">
<input type="hidden" name="channel" value="myhost.net">
<input type="submit" value="Enter Chat">
</form>

Java Chat

If you would prefer a java chat, just put the link below in any of your pages:
http://myhost.net/cgi-sys/mchat.cgi?channel=myhost.net
Are any of these things what I need to fill in the fields?

Depends if there's an IRC server running on that port, unlikely as 6667 would be more normal.

What exactly are you trying to use it for?

I just want to add a chat feature on my family's site. It's something I could live without, but I want to offer some of the features that they'd be most likely to use. Thanks, Gayle.

IRC is probably overkill in a huge way then. I'd go with the Java chat your host provides (the http://myhost.net/cgi-sys/mchat.cgi?channel=myhost.net link).
