Default simple image management for a client....

I have a client who isn't that great with the webstuff. But I don't want to do it all. So I put JCE, WYSWYG editor, but I am not happy about the image resizer. The biggest reason, is that it really doesn't resize the images. I need something which will resize the images, so that the end user isn't downloading 1.5 MB files. any suggestions here? Other than that, I really like the WYSIWYG editor.
