Default Component probs - Docman, chat, simpleboard, akogallery with greysignal template

I am having multiple problems with components many of which are down to
the template (Greysignal) I reckon.

my site is www.onlyforthehardcore.co.uk

The first problem happens on several components, there is a gap between
the left module window and the component.

1) If you click on flyers it goes to an akogallery where there is a large gap.
this is cured if i add a right module window (but i dont want to do that)
If i click on the links in categories then it stetches out fine.

2) In event (events module) the same thing happens only when you click on
an event does it stretch out.

3) in the Audio Archive (DOCman) the top 50 downloads does the same thing

4)Chat also does this

5) Downloads (remository) does it too

6) simple board does it when you go down to the actual messages.

7) This also happen in the built in ones NEWS and some parts of FAQ.

What would be causing this?

the greysiganl template (modded) is attached below. It was modded by
jomaco1 to fix a problem with the right module window. (there are also other
hacks done by me.

The above problem does not occur if i use say, peeklime.
Even with the original index file it still has this problem.

=====================

Other problems I have,

2) in chat (chat component) i get this

Warning: main(configuration.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/onlyfo/public_html/includes/sef.php on line 142

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'configuration.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/onlyfo/public_html/includes/sef.php on line 142

how can i fix this?

4) SImple board gets cut off at the end on the right at the top level
any ideas why?

Thanks for any help

I've seen this issue before, try to copy configuration.php to /includes directory.
