Default Amazon affiliate component

Has anyone configured the Amazon Affiliate component uploaded by Danyl on May 11, 2004? I need a little help in making the configuration work, as for me, it doesn't seem to work. So if anyone has used it, please pass on some advice on how to set it up correctly.

Thanks,

M.

Make sure you have the latest version.....there was a problem with the Affiliate ID not saving to the database, and then try again. I have it running on my site and it's ok but there are lots of other features that are on my wish list.

Anyway there is a link on mamboserver.com about this.

Later,

Dalmuti

I've uploaded version 1.2 to Mamboportal.com - should show up in the downloads section soon. Config bug's been fixed in this version, allows for short and long displays of books, custom styles for CSS... Stuff like that.

You can see it working here.

I've been looking over some of the suggestions people have had for this component, but I've been busy with a couple other custom components that I've needed, so I haven't gotten back to it. It is distributed under the GNU GPL, however, so if anyone wants to extend it to do more things, they're welcome to.

Thanks,
Danyl

Thumbs up Re: Amazon affiliate component

Danyl,

I have the original 1.0 and want to upgrade to 1.2. What do I need to do so that I don't lose the books I already have in the database? Are there any database changes?

Thanks,

Dalmuti
